Cool Ads on a Budget

I sometimes feel very sorry for the ad agencies. With the current plethora of absolutely stupid, nonsensical and I-will-castrate-myself-if-I-watch-this ads, I dunno if it’s the fault of clients or agencies, or TV channels that air them or all three combined.

In any case, some do slip through and become awesome, and in particular ones made by our lovely friends in Egypt. It seems that low-budget and viral ads are doing a very good job in this region, though I am surprised how many of the ads here are given a budget in the first place (the Always ads are just horrendous). Others do an OK job, like the guys over at Atlantis (who would have thought a very expensive place would do a low budget ad?) but it still works well given its message (you might wanna check it out if you are not in the UAE for a nice giveaway).

Here’s a list of a few ads which I think are cool given their budget. If you know of more do share!

From this region:

These are some ads done outside the region. I particularly like the Chatroulette medium as a trailer for the Last Exorcist… quite creative I might say and works very well!

Having been a huuuuuuge fan of HP (though not as much anymore) and an anti-Mac person, I have to like the last ad :)
But here are two ads I really like. Tthe first one is really really funny and its end _so_ French:

The second one I’d classify as “beautiful”. No idea about their budgets though.
