I had to write an email to MBC about this sort of trash being on tv during Ramadan, or anytime actually. I know they don't give a hoot, but I felt better telling them off. Even the ad just drives me insane. If one of my kids makes that damn noise she makes in the ad, I go ballistic. Arab tv trash.

And the show is terrible. (I don't know how people can watch any of these call-in game shows. What's the entertainment in looking at a table of 30 numbers and listening to a faceless voice pick one.) Anyway, I caught like 3 minutes of it and had to change the channel. And during that time she played Im 3i9am from Bab il 7ara, and was (through video effects) edited into the original scene. And she was horrible. HORRIBLE. Not only was it the same ridiculous "Shami" speech and mannerisms in the this video, but she was nothing like the smart, capable, middle-aged character at all. Ugh.

I am in charge of the IT department in my company and I have blocked YouTube from all the staff... not because it contains Porn clips (as you stated) but because everytime someone watch youtube videos consumes the bandwidth of the internet making programs like Email and other online applications creep to death.. just because someone who got so much spare time at work to watch youtube.

so take it easy on IT guys ;)

This woman Halimeh is a living Photoshop Legend. That's the first time I see her (not) on some mediocre Khaliji magazine in the bathroom. (Yes this is true about me, I use Khaliji printed journalism as laxative).
So now that she talks and moves she's even more repulsive and creepy.
eeeerrrrrrgggggghhhhhh, these TV stations must be managed by really (and I mean really) dirty old men.

Ya3ni it is mind boggling, sexualizing women contradicts the whole platform upon which the arabic culture is based upon, so I am not sure if we are trying to steer away from our culture (and doing so in a very very dumb manner) or somehow , someway we are trying to normalize this and incorporate it as part of our "new" culture.

At the end of the day...you gotta love arabic TV!
