Migraine >_<

Migraine, 3rd day.

Work @ office, downhill… hard to concentrate… damn UNIX, damn HP, damn wading through log files.

Traffic, traffic, traffic… I dunno how anyone gets anything done in this city… unless you live next to your office and everything you would ever need (including your business contacts) are within 5 km.

15_ae_road_traffic01_5-392x300 Migraine >_<

Was going to attend Leena Chamamyan tonight but my brain is throbbing I might not go.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH! *puts everything on silent*

Anyone has a medicine for migrane?! Apparently Braufen 600 just makes me hungry and thirsty.

I had migraines throughout the years I lived in Dubai.  I realized it was mainly the AC environment and not walking in fresh air.  First I got roller blades, then I moved out :)

For more practical options, try adjusting a few of your foods to the blood type diet - just replace some items with others in your group. I’ve tried this and it’s changed my life to tell you the truth.  I feel more energized, rarely get headaches and generally healthier.  It’s also easy to follow and there are no mamnoo3s - just more common sense.

Use the pressure point between you thumb and index to ease the pain. If you don’t know how to find it, it’s worth finding someone to do - it’s been the miracle cure for me.

Walk on the beach very early morning or late evening listening to Chopin ;)

salamtak :)
I get severe headaches when the weather go from extreme heat and humidity  to freezing cold ..I alternate between “Excedrin tension headache” and “Aleve”, both work really well and have minimum side effect. .Some medication make me sleepy , and I got  naueous with the one you’re taking..
but no matter what , don’t miss out on chamamyan.. go and enjoy yourself :)

Nadine -
Hello Nadine and welcome to my blog :) This migrane thing is new to me here. I sometimes get headaches… I am used to the AC as I have been living in the Gulf all my life. Regarding the blood diet, I asked a nutritionist about it and she said it isn’t backed up scientifically. Perhaps it has the placebo effect though!

Noura -
Allah ysalmek ya rub… I did miss out on Ms Chamamyan unfortunately. I was barely awake and concentrating I thought it best to head straight home instead of driving into another car

Verbal Alchemy -
Yeah I live in Sharjah too, and work in DIC. It’s a long trip, and I am used to it lol, it just amuses me that 70% of the population lives in Shj/Ajman and the rest in Deira/Bur Dubai, with like 1% only in the nether regions (Marina, Barsha)

Qwaider -
Allah ysalmak ya rub… I’m better now. Home made fries did the trick, for these few hours at least!

I always force myself to tolerate the pain without painkillers, and it goes away eventually. Except when I hurt my back then pain killers were a must!

With all that stress you spoke about, I think you need to sleep it out. My mother gets migraines and drinks shay with extreme zanjabeel and apparently it helps? salamtak KJ, hope you’re feeling better by now :)

Hani -
I usually do that too but this is one of the very few times that I had to deal with continuous pain across the week!

Verbal Alchemy -
hehehehe… no I drive a black Pajero :)

anonymous -
I know who you are :P infidel :P

Batoul -
It is most probably stress yes, there is no reason for me to get a headache (smell of petrol exempted)

traffic kills, I drive a manual gear car thanks got I don’t get stuck in the traffic too much, but once I had a meeting in Abu Dhabi and while getting back to Dubai I caught traffic from the second interchange till Diera where I used to live, I was on the clutch for most of the road, in the end I parked the car like 500 m from my house and continued walking! couldn’t stand it any more!!!

You drive manual in Dubai!? You’re kidding! I tried it once and I was like na2ah… not when I have to drive daily from DIC to Sharjah! BTW I also park a similar distance away from my place. It’s pathetic how there is a parking shortage in the UAE (Abu Dhabi especially)
