I thought it was a great movie too. Awesome Review! I usually dont let my 10 year old son watch PG-13 movies, but when I saw the movie I knew he had to see it. And of course he loved it! He said it was by far the best movie he has seen in his life! Who surprisingly was not scared! Thanks for the great review!

I saw the movie yesterday, it was just great. The scenes in Hong Kong were great and nothing and realy nothing beats the acting of Heath Ledger, too bad he is not alive to receive an award on his amazing performance.

I slept with the lights on after watching this movie (are sinister clowns the scariest thing or what!)

I found it scarier than Japanese horror movies like The Ring.

I sympathize with you regarding the Ring. It took me a week and a half to be able to sleep and another week to gradually be able to turn off the lights. Let’s just say it was the only time in my life I had to turn off the laptop when I went to sleep and make sure the lid was down and locked LOL!

I’ve seen all the Batman movies before this one, and Batman Begins was the first one worth watching. Although liked Spiderman 2 and 3. Yes they’re childish and unrealistic as most comic movies, but I think even this type of movie is enjoyable if you can suspend disbelief while watching it. If you’re constantly thinking (yeah right, that’s impossible), you won’t have fun.

I’ve only been scared by 2 movies, a really old one called (The Car – 1977) and only because I was 6 when I watched it, and the second one silly as it may sound is the ring (not the sequel). I had nightmares for a while about that.

I am not really sure about a new Joker. Heath is irrepraceable and he did such a good job I doubt any new actor would be able to pull off the role

The Joker was dark yes and didn’t look anything out of a comic, unlike the Joker’s previous outings in the Nicholson days. And thank you for the thumbs up on the modified theme took some work hehe but it paid off. Comment moderation is just for first comments

I agree with you. I really was sick of this comic-book-to-movie thing that is happening lately, and i really didn’t want to see batman’s dark knight. But my friend forced me, and it was entertaining i have to admit.

I personally liked how the joker was not too comic-booky as the villains usually are, and i agree with you 100% batman’s voice was just annoying .. it wasn’t good acting to be considered as a serious dialouge. But good movie though.

PS: i think this is my first comment on your new blog, and great job btw .. you have edited the heck out of your theme , right ?

Joker was amazing and I think they could have kept Two-Face

Noura - I still don't understand how some parents actually thought it would be a good idea to take their kids for this one. Jasim - You should! Ms Loala - Hehehehe... I think Clooney would have ruined the movie for some reason! Qwaider - I was not really bothered by the length as much as I was bothered by how the movie just had to put in a comic-book quality one-liner aimed at 13 year olds and ruin the moment. In any case, the end part of the film dragged on a bit. The addition of the extra villain was a double edged sword.

Excellent review. The movie is very disturbing indeed at times.
Although I loved it, I found it to be too long. So long in fact that it could have easily filled 3 movies instead of one. But I guess it was necessary. The new joker did a better job at horrifying the viewers than the old Jack Nicholson.

But it was tooo damn long!

Although am not of fan of Batman movies , this one is really, really good…Some reviews here suggested that kids shouldn’t see it and some of them even took it further as to say one family had to take their son for some therapy afterwards because he’s terrified to go to bed..Anyways, I loved it and its a shame that Heath Ledger didn’t live long enough to enjoy this success..

Jack was OK but Keaton and the rest of the gang brought down the performance considerably. In any case, the character of the Joker is significantly darker here. When you see the movie and the acting you’d understand my points Hope you enjoy it
